Famosix editorial policy
How Famosix verifies facts, corrects errors, uses sources and updates biographies and editorial selections.
This page explains how Famosix selects subjects, verifies information, updates content and handles correction requests.
Editorial purpose
Famosix publishes biographies and rankings of public figures. Its goal is to organize scattered information and offer clear, useful and verifiable reading for Spanish-speaking audiences.
Selecting subjects
We prioritize people with public relevance, search interest, cultural impact, a documentable career or a direct connection to material already published on Famosix. We avoid creating pages solely to target keywords when there is too little information to provide meaningful context.
Sources and verification
Before publishing or updating a factual claim, we review public sources such as official profiles, statements, institutional records, interviews, identifiable news outlets, content platforms and verifiable posts. When information is unconfirmed, we describe it as a report, account or claim awaiting confirmation, as appropriate.
For sensitive coverage of allegations, deaths, elections or health, we give priority to official sources and identifiable news outlets. We do not publish intimate material, unnecessary private information or allegations as proven facts while they remain under investigation.
Living people, rumors and editorial context
In profiles of living people, we avoid unnecessary private details and treat health, family, relationships and allegations with particular care. A rumor, attributed account or allegation is not presented as established fact. When we add editorial context, we distinguish it from verifiable information and identify the source of relevant claims.
Corrections and updates
If we identify an error, we review the claim and update the content when sufficient evidence is available. Readers can request a correction by writing to hola@famosix.com. Please provide the exact URL, the disputed information and, if possible, a verifiable source.
Biographies and rankings may be updated when relevant public facts change, including age, team, career, office, projects or the documented status of a case. Publication dates mark when content first appeared, while modification dates indicate later revisions. We do not change dates or figures merely to make a page appear current.
How rankings are ordered
Famosix rankings are editorial lists, not exact scientific measurements, unless a page explicitly identifies a source and objective metric. Their order may consider public interest, observable search trends, media relevance, digital presence, career history and current events. Famosix does not claim access to Google’s private search-volume data.
Original content
Famosix does not aim to copy or superficially rewrite third-party content. When using publicly known information, we add organization, context, related links, editorial perspective and consistency checks so the page is useful in its own right.
Independence and advertising
Editorial decisions are based on newsworthiness and usefulness to readers. If advertising, sponsorship or a commercial agreement is introduced, it must be identified where appropriate and must not change editorial judgment or conceal necessary corrections.
