Wendy Guevara's childhood and early years

Wendy Guevara was born as Luis Carmen Guevara Venegas in León de los Aldama, Guanajuato, the daughter of José Francisco Guevara Jaramillo y Fabiola Venegas Vázquez, and she has four siblings. As a child she adopted the name Wendy, inspired by the character Wendy Nayeli from the soap opera Amigas y rivales, played by Angélica Vale.

Her childhood was not easy. Wendy has publicly said that she was a victim of abuse at the age of ten, an experience she decided to share years later in order to help other people. Her life story, marked by poverty, discrimination and the search for acceptance, became over time one of the most powerful narratives of the trans community in Mexico.

La Casa de los Famosos México (2023): the historic victory

In 2023, Wendy entered La Casa de los Famosos México, the TelevisaUnivision reality show that brought together 14 celebrities.
