Awards and recognitions

Zendaya won the Emmy for best lead actress in a drama series in 2020 and in 2022, both for Euphoria. In 2020, at 24, she became the youngest winner in that category, beating the record held by Jodie Comer, the 2019 winner. In 2022 she won it again and Variety described her as the youngest person with two acting Emmys. It is a milestone because that category usually rewards performers with decades of career, and Euphoria, a drama series about teenagers, took her to that level very early. At the ceremony of January 10, 2023 she won the Golden Globe for best actress in a drama series, her first Globe, although she did not attend to collect it. She also appeared on the list of the 100 most influential people of Time magazine in 2022, with a text written by Denis Villeneuve, and in November 2021 she was the youngest person to receive the CFDA Fashion Icon award.

Fashion and influence

Zendaya is known for so-called "method dressing", a strategy in which she chooses red carpet looks inspired by the film she is promoting. That practice made her a central figure of fashion. According to the fashion press, Tommy Hilfiger announced a collaboration with her in 2018, Lancôme named her a global ambassador in February 2019, Bulgari added her to its group of ambassadors in February 2020 and Louis Vuitton presented her as House Ambassador in April 2023.
